| Beach Cruisers Pick Up Women
If you are lucky enough to own a beach cruiser you understand that Mountain Bikes don't do it, Stingray Bikes don't do it and certainly Low Rider bikes don't do it. But get a beach cruiser with fenders and you will be doing "it" every weekend.
Beach Cruiser Bicycles have more attraction to women than any other bicycle. Sure a woman will turn her head to look at the fool riding a pimped out low rider but it is more a look of disgust than I would like to know you. However, put that same man on a Beach Cruiser and you have instant magic. Instant conversation and instant allure.
Now that is not to say if you wear a pocket protector or can't string a sentence together or wear tape on your glasses that Pam Anderson or Carmen Electra will be running after you (because even those dudes are hopeless) but for the average guy looking for the not so average girl the Beach Cruiser is the odds down equalizer. So how does that work you ask?
First, a Mountain Bike is not meant for slow comfortable riding. In fact with most Mountain Bikes the words comfortable and slow riding seem to be oxymorons.
Second, the Low Rider with the twisted spoke and pimped out tachometer is screaming I'm terribly insecure and need someone to look at me. Indeed, there is nothing more pathetic than a muscle shirt on a twisted chrome Low Rider. More the Miss Howard Stern type if you know what I mean. (Sorry Miss Stern).
However, take a Beach Cruiser Bicycle and put a wire basket, a couple of mirrors and a horn (not a bell) (at http://justbicycles.com we don't carry horns but some cool ones are at http://coltonindustries.biz )and you have a bicycle that says I'm both masculine manly but relaxed enough to spin your wheels and share my mo jo.
Think I'm kidding then try it. In June I took 2 Mountain Bikes and 2 Beach Cruisers to Mission Beach in San Diego. (Ok, I know I could have picked a better beach but I was visiting family.)
In each mini survey the men on the beach cruisers were more successful in bringing back names and phone numbers than the Mountain Bike group. Sure this is an informal survey but for my money give me a yellow, blue or chrome beach cruiser over any mountain bike on any given day and I'll bring home the bacon (and she will fry it up in the pan if you know what I mean).
