| Caribbean Cruises are one of the most sought after vacation spots on the planet. With three million travelers sailing into great beaches, exoctic foods and hot tourist locations cruising among and on different islands is by far one of the premier tourist attractions. But other than drink and party what do you do once the ship has docked? For me renting one of the fine Beach Cruisers from the locals is my favorite vacation treat. I putter about the island seeing sights that those flocking to the tourist traps will never see. Planning these bicycling adventures is quite easy if you let your travel agent know your intent. I have even had agents that arranged for a Beach Cruiser Bicycle to be waiting dock side for me as soon as the shipped docked. I have bicycled up hills, down winding roads and met with the locals while riding in the comfort of my oversized tires, old fashioned handlebars and comfortable double springed seat. Whether riding a old time 30's or 50's bicycle or one of the new PT Cruiser Bicycles I always have fun when peddling on these vacation hot spots.
A well planned
tour schedule might well work
advantageous as tourists clog
the liners during vacation time.
Depending on the season, cabins
may get completely booked months
before the cruise is scheduled
to set sail and hotel accommodation
becomes too difficult. Caribbean
cruise bookings can be made either
online or by tour operators.
If you are going to bicycle your way across islands be sure your travel agent books you onto a liner that will meet your needs. With millions of travelers a year many liners have adapted to attract certain classes of passengers. Some specialize in families with toddler care and Disney type entertainment. Others have adapted themselves to attract singles with all the benefits and singles bashes your heart can desire and finally there are cruises that have started catering to bicyclist. Search out your niche and don't be afraid to ask. Even your local bicycle clubs will have information on which cruise lines target their group for such outings. For instance, some cruise lines will furnish the bikes for you while others will arrange for local vendors to have specified models available on your arrival. Although most Cruise Lines have their own online portal my personal recommendation is to use a travel agent that is experienced in dealing specifically with cruise line vacations.
Almost,
20 different classes of cruise
liners travel over to different
parts of Caribbean! Four classes
of cruises are right now available
and pick any one of them depending
on your objective, budget, time,
places to visit and the facilities
offered. Contemporary/Value class
caters mostly to tight budget
travels while premium, luxury
and specialty classes cater to
those special classes traveling
on extravagance, comfort and status.
Carnival and Royal Caribbean are
two of the most popular contemporary/value
cruise lines and together make
up almost 90% of the entire cruise
industry.
