Avoid Mail Order Bride Scams with Google
The goal of a Mail Order Bride Scam is to motivate you to send money. To do this the scammer’s must first gain the confidence of lonely victims (usually men) by trolling website forums, setting up mail order bride profiles and sending emails. Once hooked the scammer then moves into phase two which includes gaining the confidence of these men and titilizing them with photo’s and love letters. Because phase two involves continual email contact with hundreds of prospects at the same time effective scammer’s use cut and paste word programs to send similar emails over and over to hundreds of gullible men. This is facilitated by mail and merge and cut and paste programs that allow “standard” paragraphs to be used in the same type letters over and over.
The mail order bride scammer – Fat Boris – has perfected these letters through using them over and over to the point that he is able to identify your personality traits, weaknesses and strengths. He knows exactly where your soft spot is when it comes to sending “Irina” money.
Fortunately, many men have been willing to publish their experiences on Internet Forums and public sites available on Google. Your use of Google may save you from sending money to Moscow (for a Doctor to complete her studies - Ivan) or for a lady (Boris) to help her sick mother get proper medical treatment (actual fraud stories which can be found on Google).
Because names and email addresses can be changed over and over the Mail Order Bride Scammer cannot be separated from authentic women on that basis alone. In fact it is not unusual for the Mail Order Bride scammer to have stolen a ladies identity or picture. However, the scammer is dependent on mass production of letters and has little time to custom write each letter he sends to Mail Order Bride Victims (you).
As such, phrases in the letters, which appear to have been written by an illiterate or a machine translator, are your most important resource. Cut these phrases from the email using your web browser and place them into Google with quotation marks at the beginning and the end. Although, 7 to 15 words will help you identify a pattern Google will accept up to 32 words in performing its comparison.
Once you have identified the same phrase being used over and over you have identified a scammer. Phrases referring to sick mothers, job loss and hardship are the most common used but scammers are artful in deception so search for both phrases and fact patterns.
Remember there are millions of beautiful single women in Russia and the Ukraine. Some estimates say there are 3.3 million more marrying age women in Russia than men and 1.5 million more marrying age women in the Ukraine than men. Don’t waste your time on a Mail Order Bride Scammer or assume you are smarter or that by emailing that you are going to report him it will motivate him to give up his live of crime. It wont. Remember, your purpose is to find a Mail Order Bride not to take risk playing dueling emails with a Mail Order Bride Scammer. Instead, simply delete and block the writer from your email account and move on.
Finally, you should never start to rationalize why Elena or Lana's letter showed up in some other email account. First, it was not Elena or Lana, it was a man in an Internet boiler room. Second, if the letter has shown up on the Internet that was probably one of thousands of letters he sent and just one that someone took the action to post in an Internet Forum.
